Hello Spring

It's the start of a new week and I'm feeling pretty good about the past weekends training. The weather was outstanding and finally was able to get the new bike on the road on Saturday. Due to time restrictions I was only able to ride 45km's but felt really good and just kept an easy pace. It was surprising how many people were out hammering the big gears. The bike was perfectly setup by the LBS and I didn't have any discomfort in the lower back like I thought that I would.

On Sunday went for an easy 10K run and looped back to the local coffee shop and met my girlfriend for a brew. She's been training for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer walk in September. This is a 60Km walk that takes place over an entire weekend. It was nice to walk the remaining distance home at a nice easy pace. Good recovery and great conversation. It's always nice to have a spouse support your outside activities and understand the importance of such.

I decided to take it easy on Monday and prepare for the week. Tuesday I have a run schedule in the evening with some friends which probably will include some speedwork. I will also plan to visit the gym once again and work on my upper body.

Ramble On
